Gildan is a vertically-integrated marketer and manufacturer of quality branded basic apparel. The Company is the leading supplier of activewear for the screenprint market in the U.S. and Canada. It is also a leading supplier to this market in Europe, and is establishing a growing presence in Mexico and the Asia-Pacific region. Job Description
Working under the supervision of the IT Business Solutions - Sales and Marketing Director and in collaboration with IT Application System Development, the Business Analyst primary focus is to support business processes and thus work with users.
The selected candidate will be responsible for in-depth requirements analysis, business process re-design and translation of business-related requirements into system and process designs that can be developed into effective IT-based systems. This position has a strong IT aspect but is not limited only to IT projects; therefore, the selected candidate may also be involved in the reengineering or design of processes that do not involve IT.
Main Tasks
o Analyze business requirements and design solutions for the Order to Cash distribution systems that fit within the IT department's strategic direction
o Develop documentation and specifications, lead and/or work within implementation teams which may include external consultants
o Participate in continuous improvement and business process re-engineering activities
o Conduct reviews, walk-throughs and tests of solutions to ensure the deliverables are achieved within accepted SDLC and PMO guidelines
o Conduct training and post-implementation support
o Participate in the selection and implementation of software applications
Profile
o University degree: IT-IS, Administration, Commerce or equivalent
o Five to seven years experience in progressive systems customization and implementation, specifically in the area of sales/order management under a manufacturing/ distribution environment. Experience with web-based order management systems; EDI and other standards compliance.
o Implemented IT projects in a fast paced CPG or apparel environment
o Good experience with an ERP system, preferably JDE
o Designed and carried out training programs
o A strong communicator who has demonstrated solid team skills
o Solid work experience in the area of internal consulting or implementation of systems
o Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work with a wide variety of people
o Excellent written and oral skills in English and French, Spanish is an asset
o Traveling is required outside Canada (25% of the time)
